Accommodations:

We’d like you to treat your trip to Sanibel as more of a vacation, not a trip to see us get married. (We hope you don’t forget to actually attend the wedding, though.) If you plan on staying in a hotel, you may call the company recommended below, or look for deals on the internet or through a travel agent.

Sanibel is an island full of condos. Lots and lots of condos. Rates can vary but most are around $1000 and up for a week stay for a 2 bedroom. That is a real bargin, compared to many of the hotels on the island.

Our recommendation for condos is to call Island Vacations, 239.472.7277 or 1.888.451.7277. We’ve met with the owner, Fran Peters, and she is extremely helpful and accommodating. She and her staff know of our wedding plans so when you call, mention you are there for our wedding and they will be happy to help you out, whether you're looking to be close to Casa Ybel, look for last minute bargains, or just insist upon being right up next to the beach so you can fall asleep to the sound of the crashing ocean waves. (That’s what we plan on doing.) According to Fran, she can get some limited bargains, partial weeks and/or nightly rentals due to it being the low season, so just ask her or her staff and they will be able to help. She even mentioned a couple of condos that she might be able to book for a little as $500 or $600 per week.

Also, Island Vacations does have access and deals to some of the hotels on the island and can recommend places to stay in Ft. Myers if you don’t wish to stay on the Island.

We will be staying at a condo rented from Island Vacations at the Pointe Santo de Sanibel complex, less than half a mile from Casa Ybel.

Casa Ybel Resort, where the wedding and reception will be, rents nightly condos. You can call that resort if interested in staying there, 1.800.276.4753.

Hotel Accommodations:

15 rooms are being held at the Country Inn and Suites, 13901 Shell Point Plaza, Ft. Myers FL. (239) 454-9292 $85 per night, must reserve by 04/23/2007.
